Integrations & Connectors

Orion integrates with Slack to post Workflow results and answer questions in Slack, and with Google Calendar to share schedule context. Google Sheets lets Orion read spreadsheets attached to a project, and Fireflies.ai brings meeting transcripts into analyses. Connect them from Settings → Connectors.

Accessing Integrations

To connect integrations to your account:

1. Go to Settings
2. Select the Connectors tab

This is where you can manage connections to external apps and services.

Slack Integration

Connect Slack so Workflows can post their results to Slack channels, and so you can ask Orion questions in Slack. Slack connects in two steps. A Tenant Admin installs the Orion app in a Slack workspace once. Then each person links their own Slack account. Both happen on the Slack card under Settings → Connectors.

Installing Orion in Slack

Only Tenant Admins see Add New Workspace.

1. Go to Settings → Connectors and find the Slack card
2. If no workspace is installed, click Connect. Otherwise, open Configure and click Add New Workspace
3. In the Slack window that opens, choose the workspace and approve the Orion app

Slack opens in a popup, so allow popups for Orion. The workspace then appears under Available Workspaces for everyone. Repeat the steps to add another Slack workspace. To remove a workspace, a Tenant Admin clicks Delete beside it. This disconnects everyone linked to it and cannot be undone.

Linking Your Slack Account

Click Configure on the Slack card. Each workspace shows Connected or Not Connected for your own account. Click Connect and approve the link in Slack. Disconnect removes only your link.

Posting Workflow Results to Slack

Once a workspace is installed, a Workflow’s Notification step has a Channels section. Pick the channels that should get the message on every run. See Outputs for the steps. Each post carries the step’s message and an Open in Orion link. Reports and exports arrive as PDFs in a thread under the message. For a private channel, invite the Orion bot in Slack before the Workflow runs. If Orion cannot post to a channel, the Notification step shows as failed in the run history. Other channels and email recipients still get the message.

Asking Orion in Slack

With your account linked, you can ask Orion questions or start an analysis from Slack:

• Direct message: open a direct message with Orion and ask your question
• In a channel: invite the Orion bot to the channel first, then mention @Orion. Orion answers in a thread

Each answer ends with a Continue in Orion link. Use it to open the conversation in Orion for notebooks, dashboards, and deeper analysis.

Google Calendar Integration

What You Can Do

Connect Orion to your Google Calendar to:

• Share schedule context - Allow Orion to see your upcoming and past events
• Prepare for meetings - Each night, Orion reviews your upcoming meetings and prepares a deck for the few worth arriving at with data

Automation

Switch on Enable Automation, then set the two controls that appear:

• Select Calendars: the calendars Orion reviews each night
• Project: the project where Orion creates the decks

Automation runs only when at least one calendar and a project are selected. Clearing the last calendar also turns automation off. Changes save automatically.

Google Sheets Integration

Connect Google Sheets so Orion can read spreadsheets attached to a project into notebooks for analysis. Orion reads each attached sheet with your Google access.

• Choose what Orion can open - Orion reads the spreadsheets you select by name, and no other file in your Drive
• Analyze a spreadsheet - Attach a selected spreadsheet to a project, then reference it in chat
• Keep writes under project control - Write access is set on the attachment, inside the project that uses it

Setup

Connecting Google is the first of two steps. The connection alone gives Orion no data: Orion reaches a spreadsheet only after you select that file.

1. Go to Settings > Connectors and find Google Sheets
2. Click Connect, then approve Google access in the window that opens
3. Click Configure on the Google Sheets card
4. Click Choose spreadsheets and select the files you want Orion to read

Google Picker opens in a separate window and offers spreadsheets only. You can select several at once, from your own Drive or from a shared drive. Your selections are then listed under Shared spreadsheets. Selecting a spreadsheet here does not make it available in chat. Attach it to a project from the Connectors tab of Project Settings. Write access is set there too, one attachment at a time. To use it in chat, see Referencing Content with @.

Renewing Access

If Choose spreadsheets is disabled and the card asks you to reconnect, click Reconnect Google Sheets. Then click Reselect attached spreadsheets on the Connectors tab of each project’s settings. Reconnecting keeps your attachments and their write settings.

Fireflies.ai Integration

What You Can Do

Connect Orion to Fireflies.ai to bring your meeting record into chat:

• Recall meetings - “What did we discuss in the last meeting?” or “Show me my recent meetings”
• Pull out decisions - Action items, summaries, and outlines from any recorded meeting
• Find the right meeting - Search by title, check who attended, get the full transcript with speakers and timestamps
• Feed analyses - Fold meeting notes into an analysis as context

Orion uses your own Fireflies credentials, so it only sees meetings your Fireflies account can access.

Setup

1. Go to Settings → Connectors and find Fireflies.ai
2. Click Connect
3. Paste your Fireflies API Key and click Connect Fireflies

Your API key is in your Fireflies settings. Once connected, the card shows the linked Fireflies account name and email.
